Enclosed are our sources that we used to create the statements made in our video.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A parasite is an organism that exploits its host for survival at any cost. Humans behave similarly towards our planet.

Fun fact: Ants are not parasites they are eusocial insects.

The majority of studies estimate that the Earth's human capacity is around 8 billion people…

With long-term sustainability of topping at 10 billion. 2021 world population are estimated at 7.9 billion.

Pollution, Global Warming, and Climate change are existential threats and there is currently no Planet B (#noPlanetB).

No specific source, statement was summary from multiple sources.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Global warming” refers to the rise in global temperatures due mainly to the increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases (inc. Carbon Emissions) in our atmosphere.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Climate change” refers to the increasing changes in the measures of climate over a long period of time – including precipitation, temperature, and wind patterns.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Extreme weather events such as heatwaves, water shortages, and large storms are likely to become more frequent or more intense with human-induced climate change.

Source: https://www.epa.gov/climate-indicators/weather-climate
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Climate change impacts on food/water supplies will lead to population displacement, loss of life, and an increase in the spread of disease.

This was a paraphrase from multiple sources including the EPA link above.

“Large-scale industrialization began in the mid-1800s, increasing greenhouse gas emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) from burning fossil fuels.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since 1950, greenhouse gas emissions have exceeded the absorption capacity of natural processes and are increasing the temperature of the planet.

The wealthiest 10% are responsible for more than 50% of all carbon emissions, and the top 1% produce more than twice those of the poorest 50%.

“100 active fossil fuel producers are linked to 71% of global industrial greenhouse gases (GHGs) since 1988” - IPCC

Today’s Carbon emissions are 60% higher than they were in 1990, this is a symptom of a highly unsustainable political economy

Global warming has already tripled extreme high water events over widespread areas on the world’s coasts.

Earth has lost a staggering 28 trillion tonnes of ice since the mid-1990s, mostly from the Arctic Regions.

Video Fun Fact: There are puffins in the northern hemisphere but not arctic penguins. There are no bears in Antarctica only the arctic and penguins live only as far north as the Galapagos.

Antarctica has some seven million cubic miles of ice, representing some 90 percent of the world's ice totals.

If Antarctica’s ice sheets melt, sea levels are rising with a potential to elevate sea levels up to 55 meters globally.

In 2019, almost the entire surface of the Greenland ice sheet began melting as it shed 532 billion tons into the sea.

Greenland’s ice sheet contains enough water to raise sea levels by 17 to 23 feet.

Increased storm surges and sea level rises reaching at least 4 feet above current high tide are expected by 2030 and 5 feet by 2050.

In Florida alone, 5 million U.S. residents currently live on land less than 4 feet above high tide, and 6+ million live only 5 feet above high tide.

Decisions we make today determine our future: the greater the emissions, the greater the warming, and the greater the likelihood of higher sea levels.

Plastic Waste, a byproduct of fossil fuels, is at an all-time high:
1. Nearly 300 million tonnes of plastic waste are produced every year.
2. Plastic wastage is growing at an annual rate of 9%.
3. The US is the world’s top generator of plastic waste.
4. Around 70,000 micro-plastics are consumed by an average person each year.
5. 1 million marine animals die due to plastic pollution every year.
6. 75% of all plastic produced has become waste.
7. It takes around 500-1,000 years for plastics to decompose.
8. 73% of all litter on beaches worldwide is plastic.
9. About 91% of plastic is not recycled.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We can make a difference with every small act and we can build “herd impact” by:
1. Reduce personal dependency and replace fossil fuels with renewable/clean energy sources long-term
2. Exercise rights as citizens and consumers to influence market behavior.
3. Revamp our subsidy system, stop rewarding fossil fuels and support sustainable technologies
4. By reducing your consumption of animal protein by half, you can cut your diet's carbon footprint by more than 40% and meet virtually to reduce transportation impact
5. Shop differently, eat locally grown and seasonal food when possible, and limit unnecessary consumption

‘The world has enough for everyone's need, but not enough for everyone's greed’. - Mahatma Gandhi

Every small step helps, this is why…
* We are no longer producing physical CDs.
* We will commit to removing one pound of plastic waste from our oceans for every CD sold on Amazon or BandCamp through July of 2022
* Remember to share this video with the hashtag #NoPlanetB
